HOW TO VOLUNTEER

Thank you for your interest in our volunteer program!

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Community Bridges Beacon!

We appreciate the wonderful support we receive from volunteers of all ages and backgrounds. Our volunteers include students, senior citizens, corporate volunteers and community members.  Come join us!

We are looking for help in all areas of our programming from mentors and tutors who are dedicated to developing meaningful relationships with youth, providing youth with a safe place, and having fun!

Programming takes place at Community Bridges Beacon, located at Everett Middle School. We offer programs in the following five areas:

       Academic Mentoring and Career Development
       Arts and Technology
       Sports and Recreation
       Leadership and Civic Engagement
       Health and Wellness

Volunteers can assist students with homework, help with arts activities, recreational games or field-based programs, work with youth in classrooms, and provide support for events.

Our goal is to create an open learning environment in an intergenerational community, where all participants are valued and respected, by offering academic and enrichment activities to young people.

Mentors and tutors volunteer a minimum of 2 hours a week for at least 6 months. There are no job requirements and volunteers receive ongoing training and individual support from staff.

Stipends are available for high school, college student and senior citizen volunteer mentors.
